Attorney Travis Siegel of Travis Siegel, provides a level of personal insight that few attorneys can offer, having experienced firsthand the devastation caused by medical negligence.
Travis’ nephew was born with severe brain damage because of a doctor’s malpractice, leaving Travis’ family heartbroken and facing serious family and financial challenges. Due to this experience, young Travis vowed one day to stand up for people facing the same challenges and suffering that his family faced. He vowed to become a personal injury lawyer and represent those who had been seriously injured due to the negligence of others.
Siegel had the opportunity to pursue a career in professional baseball but turned down the opportunity for what he considered to be a higher calling. Travis would rather stand up for the wrongfully injured as an Orange County elder abuse attorney than entertain baseball fans. Instead of being a baseball star, he wanted to hold wrongdoers accountable for their negligence and the damages they cause to others.
Attorney Travis Siegel received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
While at Oklahoma City University, Mr. Siegel was selected as an Academic All-American in baseball in 1998 and 1999. Mr. Siegel was on Oklahoma City University’s Dean’s Honor List from 1996 to 1999 and graduated magna cum laude in 1999. Mr. Siegel was selected as Criminal Justice Student of the Year by faculty at Oklahoma City University in 1999 as well.
While attending the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Mr. Siegel was selected to the Dean’s Honor Roll. He also clerked for Judge William Heatherington, who was appointed to the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals shortly thereafter. After graduating law school in 2002, Mr. Siegel worked for five years at a medical malpractice defense firm defending doctors and hospitals. While here, Mr. Siegel was named Oklahoma County Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year for his pro bono work representing children in DHS custody. Mr. Siegel began representing those injured through the negligence and neglect of others in 2007 and has done so exclusively since then.
He is licensed to practice law before all courts in California. When not practicing law, Mr. Siegel and his wife, Nicole, enjoy spending time with their daughter Madison, their son Colin, and their rescue pets Sadie and Snickers. They also fondly remember their original rescue dogs Cooper and Little Man.
